LIVE FILTERING & SEARCH

Find exactly what you're looking for by using our awesome filter panel to sift through authors, tags, recipients, type and more. Or if you prefer you can use the amazing live search box.

Unlike other applications that give you a short list of features, with Kohive you're able to use applications like tasks, image galleries, file and video directories, chat, and much more on an interface like no other.

Kohive aims to soon open its API to developers so they'll be able to make new applications and distribute them though an app store.

MULTIPLE IDENTITIES

You are a different person when you are around your boss than when you are around your friends, so we enable you to have different profiles that represent you differently in each hive that you are in.

CONTENT AGGREGATION

We love social media as much as you do. That's why we let you embed photos from Flickr, videos from YouTube, and sync your Twitter feeds... and that's just a taste of what is to come.

REAL TIME UPDATES

Never worry about missing an important message, task, or file again! Not only does content get updated in real-time, but you can also get notified in a few different ways...

STARS

Wherever there is new content you haven't seen yet you'll be notified by nifty little stars and sound.

  • What’s a "Hive"?

A Hive is a communal desktop space where a group of people can share files, tasks, photos, bookmarks, as well as chat, etc.

  • Is Kohive secure?

Yes. We have 128-bit SSL, which means your data gets encrypted when it's sent to us.

We’re hosted with RackSpace and Amazon, both are major hosting companies who take your security very, very seriously!

  • What browsers is Kohive fully compatible with?

Kohive uses state-of-the-art technology which means you need a state-of-the-art browser to run it properly. We are presently compatible with Firefox and Safari. Kohive plans to implement compatibility with Internet Explorer 7 and 8 with a few visual quirks and reduced speed.

  • When is the iPhone app coming?

We've already started work on it, but we still have some way to go before it’s ready for launch. We are hoping to launch it in the fall.

  • Do you provide customer support?

Of course we do! If you have any problems just go to our support page on GetSatisfaction or tweet @kohive and we’ll get back to you soon!

Tasks

TASKS

Task management has never been this easy - much less this powerful. You can tag, apply effort, priority, milestones, due date, flag, attach files, comment and easily filter and search.

Notepad

NOTEPAD

Notepad is a super simple text editing app. You can share ideas, write specifications for a project, use it as a diary, or go into detail on your upcoming family vacation activities.

Messages

MESSAGES

Rather than using email to communicate with your team why not have your messages separated by group/subject/project and with the ability to tag and search them easily? Well you can do that with the messages app.

Bookmarks

BOOKMARKS

Got a link to share with your group? Add them to this app and you can have a common list of bookmarks which can easily be found later. You can add links to reference material, interesting articles, other web apps - or whatever else you want to share!

Doodle

DOODLE

A picture is worth a thousand words - and the Doodle app gives you just that. Draw with other hive members in real time to explain that logo, design, or concept - or even just to have a little break and fool around with friends!

Chat

CHAT

If you ever had a problem with connecting with team members, clients or friends because they all use different Instant Messaging systems, our chat application has your covered - now you can discuss your latest developments in real-time without worries.

Files

FILES

No more e-mailing or FTPing files around! Now you have one place to share all your project files - with version control! Open .DOC files and edit them without leaving your browser with ease, and find exactly the file you're looking for through our real time filter panel or search.

Gallery

GALLERY

Be it photos, logos or graphics the images app lets you share visuals with others by uploading, typing the direct URL of an image and even importing them from a Flickr™ set!

Videos

VIDEOS

Import videos from YouTube or Vimeo to share with hive members of your latest corporate video, promotional material, or favorite footage - it's up to you!

Status Updates

STATUS UPDATES

Share your thoughts, ideas and what you're working on and keep up-to-date with the thoughts, ideas and actions of your team. "I'm already using Twitter" you say! That's fine - you can sync your Twitter to update on Kohive, or vice-versa!

stickies

STICKIES

Something about a brightly colored piece of paper with a message on it that just makes you want to read it. For those reminders, notes or whatever, you can create stickies and drag them on your hive's desktop for others to see. It's like a communal fridge door!
